The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria) is a young international institute dedicated to basic research and graduate education in the natural and mathematical sciences, located in Klosterneuburg on the outskirts of Vienna.
IST Austria is committed to conducting world-class research. By 2026, up to 90 research groups will perform research in an international state-of-the-art environment.
A shuttle bus from Vienna (Subwaystation Schwedenplatz) will be provided for attendees of the conference. It will take 20 -30 minutes to go to the Institute from Vienna.
Vienna offers daily 2h direct flights to Athens where the IFLA WLIC takes place 24 – 30 August.

How to get to the Campus
From Vienna to IST Austria
1. Leave Vienna city center via Donaukanal Bundesstrasse (B227) in the direction Nordbrücke.
2. Exit B227 before reaching Nordbrücke and take Klosterneuburger Bundesstrasse (B14) until you reach Klosterneuburg.
3a. Follow the IST Austria signs along the B14 from Klosterneuburg towards Tulln through Kierling until you reach Maria Gugging.
3b. Should you take the bypass road follow IST Austria sign at final roundabout and turn right onto B14 towards Tulln. Follow the B14 from Klosterneuburg through Kierling until you reach Maria Gugging.
4. Turn right at roundabout after place-name sign “Maria Gugging”.
